Galileo–A New Dimension In 3-D Diagnostics
Dr. Barreto is setting the standard for diagnostic imaging with the Galileo 3–D imaging technology. Not only does it offer his patients much less exposure to radiation, it also offers previously undreamed-of diagnostic and therapeutic options in the fields of surgery, prosthetics, orthodontics, and restorative dentistry. The images are much larger and easier to read, and excellent image quality permits diagnosis of the tiniest details in three dimensions, projecting not only the entire craniofacial region but also the finest anatomical details. It even moves into the realm of animated three-dimensional diagnostics, for the most precise treatment and implant planning. It is the future of dental technology!

Intra-Oral Cameras
Intra-oral cameras have greatly improved the way we examine our patients’ teeth. Using a pen-sized camera, we take video of your teeth and project the live image onto a monitor in the treatment room. This image is magnified, allowing us to better see and detect any decay, cracked or leaking fillings or other problems, and helps us diagnose and treat problems earlier than was ever before possible.

Ultrasonic Hygiene Therapy
Periodontal disease presents itself with a build-up of bacteria in the pockets in your mouth, plaque and tartar. One of the first steps in cleaning and healing your gums is to remove the buildup with our ultrasonic scaler. The scaler has a very small tip that produces a soft ultrasonic vibration. These ultrasonic vibrations are combined with a gentle jet of water to provide us with an innovative, gentle and ultra-effective method of removing calculus and reducing the number of harmful bacteria below the gum line.

DIAGNOdent ®
The DIAGNOdent is especially crucial because it can detect decay at its earliest stages, allowing us to utilize drill-less dentistry to treat decay, possibly avoiding the need for anesthetic (numbing), with far more conservative results than traditional dentistry. This laser can detect decay before it can be seen on x-rays and before we can see it with the naked eye.

Cavitron
The Cavitron ultrasonic cleaner is a state-of-the-art instrument for removing tartar from both above and below the gum line. Instead of cleaning your teeth with the bulky and sharp metal hand tools, Cavitron ultrasonic cleaner has a blunt tip and uses oscillating sound waves to gently vibrate the tartar away from your teeth. The Cavitron unit is so gentle that it can even be used to administer deep cleaning and gum therapy, many times without the need for anesthetic. And because it vibrates at the speed of sound, you will hardly feel the procedure at all.

Somnomed®
Snoring is more than a nuisance – it can harm both your health and your relationships! It is not only so loud and disruptive it wakes both you and your partner, it could be a sign of sleep apnea, a serious and even life threatening disorder.

Dr. Barreto offers the Somnomed, an innovative, custom-made anti-snoring device, small enough to fit in the palm of your hand. This new technology is a comfortable alternative for those who can’t wear a CPAP machine – some people even call it life changing!

ViziLite®
Oral cancer kills as many Americans as melanoma (the most serious type of skin cancer) and twice as many as cervical cancer. And everyone is at risk: 25 percent of oral cancer patients do not use tobacco or abuse alcohol. The good news is that when it is caught early, 90 percent of coral cancer cases can be cured.

Today there's a simple visual test that Dr. Hank Barreto can use to improve the potential for early caner identification in at-risk patients by detecting oral abnormalities – ViziLite®. With ViziLite, it’s very easy for Dr. Barreto to spot abnormal or precancerous cells. All you have to do is rinse your mouth with a special screening solution. If you do have any abnormal cells, the ViziLite will spot them.
